Modification to DA0081/2018

Since last year there have been some modifications to the development application (DA) which is proposed for The Regent Theatre in Mudgee. You can see these modifications here (click 'supporting documents' to see the files) which are currently on public exhibition via Mid-Western Regional Council. Anyone can send comments to Council before 4:30pm Friday 2 March 2018. You can submit online here via Council's e-form. So far, since the documents were made live last Friday, we have noted changes regarding the hotel numbers, car parking, alterations to the facade and an increase in the height. Have you gone yourself the opportunity to read through the DA documents concerning Mudgee's Regent Theatre? Here are some observations for you to consider. West Elevation and North Elevation It can be seen that the shadow of the proposed hotel on the western view is taller than the façade. Looking at the northern view of the current plan, at the outline of the existing Regent Theatre auditorium wall gives a clear view of the scale of the proposed hotel development. I am enthralled to share this letter written by Executive Director of Century Venues, Greg Khoury, which was submitted to Mid-Western Regional Council in opposition to the proposed DA for the Mudgee Regent Theatre to be converted into a hotel. The special part about this campaign is that is has drawn interest from many people, in a variety of places, all over the world.
